How to access my book

Thanks for your purchase! Whether you just bought your book or you are coming back for it later, here is how to get it and open it.

Getting your book

  1. Watch your inbox — we email you the moment your personalized book is ready.
  2. Go to “My library” in the top menu (or visit /account/library).
  3. Sign in with the magic link we email you — no password needed, just click the link.
  4. Download your book as a PDF or a Kindle-compatible EPUB. Your download links do not expire, so you can come back anytime.

Not sure which to pick? EPUB is best for Kindle and phones/tablets (the text reflows to fit the screen). PDF keeps the exact page design and is great on a computer or for printing.

Reading the EPUB

Send it to your Kindle

  1. On your computer, open amazon.com/sendtokindle and sign in with your Amazon account.
  2. Drag your .epub file onto the page (or click “Select files” and choose it).
  3. Choose which Kindle device or app to send to, then click Send.
  4. Open your Kindle with Wi-Fi on — the book shows up in your Library in a minute or two.

Tip: you can also install the free “Send to Kindle” app for Mac or PC and just drag the file onto it.

Apple Books on a Mac

  1. Find the downloaded .epub file (usually in your Downloads folder).
  2. Double-click it — it opens in the Books app and is saved to your library.
  3. If it does not open on its own, drag the file onto the Books app icon.

Apple Books on an iPad (or iPhone)

  1. Open the .epub from the Files app, Mail, or your browser’s downloads.
  2. Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow).
  3. Tap Books (or “Copy to Books”) — it opens and stays in your library.

On a Windows PC

  1. Windows has no built-in EPUB reader, so install a free one first — search the Microsoft Store for “EPUB Reader,” or install Calibre.
  2. Open the reader app, then open your .epub (or right-click the file → Open with → your reader).

Easiest option on Windows: just use “Send it to your Kindle” above.

On an Android tablet

  1. Install a free reader from the Play Store — Google Play Books works well (or Moon+ Reader).
  2. Open the app, tap the menu, choose Upload files, and pick your .epub from Downloads.
  3. Or open the file from your Downloads and choose your reader app when asked.

Reading the PDF

The PDF is set to open as a two-page “book spread.” If your app shows one page at a time, the steps below show where to switch it.

On a Mac

  1. Double-click the .pdf — it opens in Preview.
  2. For a book spread: menu bar → ViewTwo Pages, then also turn on View → Show Cover Page Alone.

On a Windows PC

  1. Double-click the .pdf — it opens in Microsoft Edge or Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  2. For a book spread: in Edge use the page-layout button in the toolbar; in Acrobat use ViewPage DisplayTwo Page View (and Show Cover Page in Two Page View).

On an iPad

  1. Tap the .pdf in the Files app or your downloads to open the built-in viewer.
  2. To keep it handy, tap the Share icon → Copy to Books. Hold the iPad sideways (landscape) to see two pages side by side.

On an Android tablet

  1. Open the .pdf from Downloads — it opens in Google Drive’s PDF viewer, or install the free Adobe Acrobat Reader from the Play Store.
  2. Hold the tablet sideways (landscape) for a two-page spread.
